Our Story

“When you take care of yourself, you’re a better person for others. When you feel good about yourself, you treat others better.” – c.i.o.h.* Solange Knowles

Hey Everybody!

We're Na'Kisha and Ni'Kita (KishanKita for those that grew up with us) sisters and co-founders of Love YU Collective. Our first brand, Ni’Kita Wilson Beauty Chemist, was dedicated to celebrating the allure, strength, and resilience of Black women. We’ve always been about that life!

In November 2020, we found ourselves having more conversations about our stressed lives and what it was doing to us mentally, physically, and emotionally (breaking out, lack of focus, feeling disconnected, snapping on people)... during the same time we came across study upon study reporting on how the health and well-being of Black women are being ravaged by normalizing chronic stress instead of coping with it.

LOVE YOU UNAPOLOGETICALLY

At that point we made the decision to do something about it and within one week Love YU Collective was born. Until Black women begin to put our health and well-being first and start incorporating self-preservation practices into our lives, we will not be able to live life and love to the fullest.

SELF PRESERVATION ISN’T A LUXURY

Love YU Collective is a health and wellness lifestyle brand empowering Black women to prioritize ourselves by putting our self-preservation needs first to reduce the impact of stress and take control of our emotional, physical, and mental well-being. We can do it together!
